How to Implement
Guidance

Implement useful DFSP notifications to end users.
Scheme rules require that DFSPs issue immediate notifications of transaction authorization and completion (and other defined activities occurring in the wallet or account) via the end user’s preferred channel. These notifications and the channel(s) used should be determined and easily configurable by the end user.

Support varied and innovative modes of notifications.
Use varied modes to communicate notifications, including text, iconography, as well as audio to ensure that notification messages are clear and unambiguous—even across a diverse population of users with varying degrees of digital and basic literacy.
Why It Matters
This enhances security, privacy, and transparency, making Inclusive IPS more trustworthy and useful for end users.

Women’s Inclusion
Often having lower literacy and digital familiarity than male counterparts, women will especially benefit from clear, intuitive, and timely notifications on transaction status – including use of voice and local language. Women’s heightened need for personal safety and privacy means that she will benefit from being able to define her own settings and controls on notifications.
